ATI has created the eight sided AR15 free float ease of use forend listening to law enforcement, military personnel, and hunters. The military type III anodized 6061 T6 aluminum used makes this forend weigh only 5.2oz (147g). Versatility comes with insert rails at 45 degree angles around the circumference. The slide rails can be placed in any position on the forend giving shooters the ability to place accessories exactly where they are needed. Rail sizes are sold separately in 2, 3, 4, and 6 inches. The forend itself is only 6.5 inches long. This forend is installed flush to the receiver providing a secure fit that cannot rotate. Three set screws lock the forend into place on the slotted barrel nut eliminating the need for a jam nut. ATI manufactures this virtually indestructible forend in the USA and covers it with a limited life time warranty. Product does not fit AR-10 or .308 Variants.
